Eligibility for FUHSO Post UTME Screening
Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2024/2025 UTME or Direct Entry (DE) and selected FUHSO as their first choice are eligible for the screening exercise.
Candidates must have passed their O’level exams with at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
For UTME applicants, the minimum cut-off marks for each course are as follows:
College of Medicine
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery): 240 and above
- B.Sc. Biochemistry: 200 and above
Faculty of Science
- B.Sc. Microbiology: 200 and above
- B.Sc. Computer Science: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Chemistry: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Biostatistics: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Biological Sciences: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Mathematics: 180 and above
- B.Sc. Physics: 180 and above
Direct Entry candidates are required to have at least a second-class lower degree in relevant science courses or A Levels/IJMB with a minimum of 13 points, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Alternative Course Options for High Scorers
Candidates who scored 220 and above in the UTME may be considered for alternative courses during the screening process, such as:

- B. Nursing Science
- B. Medical Laboratory Science
Screening Details for FUHSO Post UTME and Direct Entry
The Post UTME and Direct Entry screening will take place at the University’s Lecture Theatre, Take-off Campus, Otada, Otukpo.

How to Change to FUHSO as First Choice
Candidates wishing to switch to FUHSO should make the necessary changes on the JAMB portal and choose Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo as their first choice.
Ensure that the selected programme aligns with your UTME subject combination and O’level results.
It is important to upload your O’level results on the JAMB portal, as candidates whose results are not uploaded will not be eligible for admission.
Documents to Bring for FUHSO Post UTME Screening
Candidates must bring the following documents to the screening:
- Evidence of selecting FUHSO as the first choice through JAMB
- Printout of JAMB results from JAMB CAPS
- Original SSCE/NECO O’level Certificate/Result
- Birth Certificate
- Two passport-sized photographs
- Proof of payment of the non-refundable processing fee of N2,000 via REMITA
- Two photocopies of each document listed above
