Lagos State University Matriculation Details for 2024/2025 Academic Session

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the matriculation ceremony for newly admitted full-time students for the 2024/2025 academic session. The event will take place as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 18th February 2025
  • Time: 10:00 a.m. prompt
  • Venue: Buba Marwa Auditorium, Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos

All matriculating students must arrive at the auditorium by 9:30 a.m. to ensure proper seating arrangements.

Notice to Newly Admitted Students 

Complete the LASU Central Admissions Clearance (LACACA) Process

Lagos State University requires all newly admitted full-time undergraduate students to complete the LASU Central Admissions Clearance (LACACA) process. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, has approved this as a prerequisite for matriculation.

  • Start Date: Friday, 27th September 2024
  • Extended Deadline: Friday, 31st January 2025

Benefits of Completing LACACA

Students who complete LACACA will:

  • Receive their matriculation numbers.
  • Become eligible for fee payment.
  • Register at the Health Centre.
  • Collect the General Nigerian Studies (GNS) Compendium.

Consequences of Missing the LACACA Deadline

Failure to begin and complete LACACA by the deadline will lead to the forfeiture of provisional admission. The University has stated clearly that no further extensions will be given. Students must act promptly to avoid delays or disruptions to their academic journey.

All newly admitted students are urged to meet the specified deadlines to ensure smooth participation in the matriculation ceremony and uninterrupted academic progress.
