The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a fresh clarification to graduates of National Diploma (ND) Part-Time and Higher National Diploma (HND) Full-Time programmes concerning their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilisation.
The Board stated emphatically that it does not conduct admissions into HND programmes and therefore cannot be held responsible for any mobilisation issues affecting graduates from such programmes. JAMB further explained that although it manages admissions into full-time ND programmes, it has no regulatory role in the admission process for ND Part-Time students.
In a public notice, JAMB wrote:
“Attention, ND Part-Time and HND Full-Time graduates! Please note that JAMB plays no role in delaying your NYSC mobilisation. For clarity, we are not involved in admissions into HND programmes, and admissions for part-time ND programmes are not processed through us.”
The clarification follows repeated complaints from graduates who often attribute NYSC mobilisation delays to JAMB.
JAMB urged all affected graduates to direct their enquiries and concerns to their institutions and the NYSC, as these are the bodies responsible for mobilisation and service registration.
