Schools Whose Admission Lists Have Been Released 2025/2026

By  Updated on

After the Post-UTME, a screening exercise for school admission, students wait eagerly to see if they have been offered admission by their institution of choice. Keep reading to see the list of schools that have released their admission lists.

Admission List 2025/2026, How to Check and Stay Ahead

Every year, as the post-UTME season passes, there is another wait that feels even longer. Students sit tight, checking their phones, refreshing websites. Parents ask the same question every evening, have they released the admission list? The air in homes can feel heavy. For many, it is like sitting in a bus stuck in Lagos traffic, you know you will get there, but the wait can tire the soul. Admission list time always comes with that kind of pressure. This piece lays it bare, where to look, how it works, and the schools that have started publishing.

What is an admission list?

An admission list is not magic, it is simply the official roll of names released by schools. If your name shows there, it means you met the bar, and the school is saying, welcome, come and study with us. It is provisional, but still, it carries weight.

How schools release admission lists

The road to that list is never short. It usually looks like this:

  • UTME by JAMB: Every student sits for this exam, no shortcut here.
  • Post-UTME screening: Schools run their own checks after JAMB.
  • Ranking and picking: Scores are lined up, and seats are filled.
  • Publication: Lists go live.

Checking is in two common places:

  • School portals and notice boards: Some schools still paste names on old walls, many use online portals where you type in your JAMB number.
  • JAMB CAPS: A central system by JAMB, where you can log in, check status, and even accept or reject an offer.

And one small but wise tip, check often, keep this page handy. Schools update in waves, no dulling.

Universities and their admission lists

Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Nursing Sciences, School of Health & Others admission lists

Why constant checking matters

Admission time is like market day, the earlier you show up, the more you get. If you delay, you might return empty handed. Some students accept on JAMB CAPS and forget to confirm on the school portal. Others do the reverse. Both must be ticked off. If you do not accept on time, the offer may be withdrawn and given to someone else waiting. It sounds harsh, but it is true.

Closing note

Waiting for the admission list can stretch patience. It is like sitting under hot sun, waiting for a bus that may or may not come soon. But one thing is clear, the lists are being released, and if your name is there, congratulations. If not, it is not the end. Some will be picked in the second or third batch. And if still no, there is always another chance next year or other options like polytechnics or colleges. One way or the other, no dey worry, you will find your path.
