Alvan Ikoku University kicks off 2025/2026 Post-UTME and DE registration

The Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri, has quietly rolled out its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2025/2026 session. Starting from Monday, 28th July 2025, the gates open for young hopefuls who dream of a four-year degree. The doors are wide, covering Arts, Education, Sciences, Social Sciences, and even Vocational and Technical courses.

Who can apply

Now, let’s not beat around the bush. Not everyone qualifies. The rules are clear:

  • Anyone who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME can take a shot.
  • Direct Entry candidates need to have NCE, OND, HND, First Degree, A’ level or something equivalent in the right area.
  • Every candidate must upload their results on JAMB CAPS. If you skip this, your dream of admission is gone, no stories.
  • If you didn’t pick Alvan Ikoku as first choice, there’s still a chance. Walk into a JAMB accredited centre, even the university’s CBT centre, and switch them to first choice. Simple.

Some may ask, is it worth the stress? Well, missing out for not doing a simple upload would sting more.

How to apply

The process sits online, waiting for clicks. Here’s the path, step by step, but read slow so you don’t miss:

  • Visit Alvan Ikoku University website
  • Hit Portal
  • Click AIFUE Portal at AIFUE Degree Portal
  • Choose the screening form that matches you (Post-UTME or Direct Entry)
  • Tick the right box
  • Type in your JAMB registration number
  • Hit proceed
  • Fill your profile form carefully (don’t rush here)
  • Select the programme type, regular or DE/Post-NCE
  • Click submit
  • Print your invoice
  • Pay ₦2,000 at Alvana Microfinance Bank or any bank with Remita
  • Return to the portal, finish the registration
  • Upload documents:
    • Passport photo
    • O’Level result
    • Birth certificate
    • Local government ID letter
  • Hit submit
  • Print out your success page and keep it like gold

It sounds plenty, but once you start, it flows.
