ASMAF 2025 Scholarships for Young Nigerian Females
The Ajesola Solarin Majekodunmi Foundation is inviting applications for its 2025 scholarship. Open to female Nigerian undergraduates in specific professional courses, it covers tuition and living costs, plus mentoring and skills support. Applicants must meet the stated requirements and submit by 12 September 2025.
If you’re a young woman from Nigeria with brains, grit, and not much cash to spare, ASMAF might just be calling your name. Their 2025 scholarship programme is open, and it’s more than just a cheque. It’s a mix of financial help, guidance, and a push to grow beyond the lecture hall.
This isn’t for everyone, though, and the rules are clear as daylight.
What the scholarship gives
The offer stretches far.
- Full financial cover for tuition, board, and upkeep, for as long as six years in a public Nigerian university.
- Mentoring and training to sharpen leadership and life skills.
- Study tools and resources to keep your learning solid and steady.
All this rides on your academic performance. Fall short, and the tap could run dry.
Who can step forward
You’ll need to tick these boxes:
- Be a female Nigerian from a low-income background.
- First time in tertiary education.
- Admitted or enrolled full-time in Medicine, Law, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Accountancy, Architecture, or similar professional courses in a public Nigerian university.
- Show strong results in past exams, and promise in your studies.
- Have the drive for leadership and growth.
How to apply
The clock runs till Friday, 12 September 2025.
- Fill the ASMAF online application form.
- Upload the needed documents:
- Proof of university admission (via JAMB).
- Academic results (GCE, NECO, WASC, or approved equivalents).
- Post-JAMB success evidence or current university transcript.
- Provide referees who are not family and know your academic and financial story.
Late entries? Forget it. Only shortlisted names will hear back.
How they pick winners
It’s a step-by-step thing.
- Check your eligibility.
- Call your referees for more insight.
- Rank applicants based on course, state of origin, and university.
- Select according to available funds.
If you make it, you’ll get an offer letter and a short time to accept.
What comes with the award
ASMAF expects you to:
- Keep a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Send in a yearly progress report.
- Skip full-time jobs and get approval for any part-time work.
- Avoid holding other scholarships without written go-ahead.
- Stay in your course unless ASMAF says yes to a change.
It’s renewed yearly if your grades and participation hold up.
When it can end
The scholarship can stop if:
- You no longer qualify.
- Your school withdraws you.
- Your grades drop.
- You give false details.
- You skip the annual report.
If it’s cut off in error, they can bring it back.
For those who fit the bill, this could be that one shot that changes the road ahead — no long talk, just act fast.
