Bayelsa Medical University Post UTME / DE Admission 2025/2026

Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has lifted the lid on its admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year. The gates are open, the conditions are out, and the call is clear for those hoping to join the school. Whether you dream of wearing a white coat or you simply want a future in sciences, this is the point where the process begins.

And like most things in Nigeria, there’s a catch, well not a bad one, just the rules you must meet before you can step through.

The Cut-Off Marks

The marks are set, and some are tall enough to scare, others are steady and reachable. Here’s the rundown:

  • Medicine & Surgery (MBBS): 275
  • Nursing Science: 230
  • Pharmacy (Pharm.D): 228
  • Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS): 211
  • Radiography & Radiation Science: 211
  • Optometry (O.D.): 184
  • Physiotherapy: 181
  • Other Programmes: 170

That last one is important, it keeps the door open for plenty of other courses.

Who Can Apply

BMU has kept the entry bar clear:

  • A minimum score of 170 in the 2025 UTME.
  • Applicants must be 16 years or older.
  • At least five credits in O’Level, with English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics all compulsory.

No shortcuts here. If you don’t have these, better to wait than waste the ₦2,500 fee.
