WAEC has announced the 2025 May/June results are out, and for nearly two million students, this is the day of reckoning. What to Keep Handy Before Checking
Before you rush like you are chasing free Wi-Fi, take a moment to gather:
- WAEC exam number — a ten-digit code made up of your centre and seat numbers.
- PIN and Serial Number — printed on the Smart ID card you used in the exam hall.
If your PIN has vanished into thin air, don’t start sweating. You can buy another one in minutes.

Losing a PIN is annoying, but not the end of the world. Just follow this:
- Go to the WAEC Request Portal
- Wait until the transaction reference shows up
- Under “Request Type”, pick “Request For Service”

- Enter your name, phone number, and email

Checking Your WAEC Result Online
Once your details are ready:
- Visit the WAEC Result Portal
- Type your exam number
- Choose 2025 as the year
- Pick School Candidate Result
- Fill in your PIN and Serial Number
- Click “Submit” and wait

Checking Your WAEC Result by SMS
Sometimes internet is slow or acting funny. In that case:
- Send a text in this format:
WAECExamNumberPIN*ExamYear - Send it to 32327 on MTN, Airtel, or Glo
- It costs ₦30 per message
Example: If your number is 4250101001 and your PIN is 123456789012, text WAEC4250101001123456789012*2025 to 32327. Your result will drop into your inbox soon after.
