Available Post-Basic Nursing Programmes
Two different tracks are on offer for the 2025/2026 session:
- Post-Basic Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing
- Duration: Two years
- Requirement: Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current practising licence.
- Post-Basic Public Health Nursing
- Duration: One year
- Requirement: Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with a current practising licence.
These programmes are designed for nurses and midwives who wish to advance their skills and step into broader professional roles.
Method of Application
Applicants are to use the official college portal Gombe Nursing Application Portal to begin the process. The steps are simple enough, but missing a stage could halt your application.
- Create an account with a valid email address and phone number.
- Select the programme of choice.
- Pay a non-refundable fee of ₦20,000 (excluding e-service charges) through the designated bank platform.
- Complete the online form and upload the required documents.
- Print out the slip and return it, along with two recent passport photographs, to the ICT Unit of the College.
Dates to Note
The timeline is tight and leaves no room for delay:
- Sales of forms open: Monday, 15th September 2025
- Sales close: Midnight, Thursday, 25th September 2025
- Submission deadline: Friday, 26th September 2025
- Physical screening/oral interview: Thursday, 2nd to Friday, 3rd October 2025
The College has made it clear, no extensions will be granted.
Screening and Advisory
During the screening, applicants must bring:
- Original copies of RN or RM registration notification.
- Current practising licence.
