FUTD academic calendar 2025/2026 session
The Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD) has released the approved academic calendar for undergraduate students for the 2025/2026 session.

How FUTD plans the 2025/2026 academic year
The FUTD calendar is split into two main parts. The first semester runs from November 2025 to March 2026. The second semester follows and ends with an eight-week long vacation in July and September 2026. Each part has clear weeks for registration, lectures, tests, revision, and examinations.

- Period: 2 weeks
Late registration with penalty
Students who miss the main registration window can still register with a penalty:
- Dates: Mon. 17th Nov – Fri. 21st Nov, 2025
- Period: 1 week
Orientation for new students
New students have a full week for welcome and basic guidance:

Lectures and first continuous assessment (1st CA)
The first block of lectures includes the first round of continuous assessment:

- Period: 4 weeks
Mid-semester break
Students have a short break in the middle of the semester:
- Dates: Mon. 22nd Dec, 2025 – Fri. 2nd Jan, 2026

Lectures and second continuous assessment (2nd CA)
Teaching continues after the break, along with the second round of continuous assessment:
- Dates: Mon. 5th Jan – Fri. 13th Feb, 2026
- Period: 6 weeks
Revision week
A full week is set aside for revision before exams begin:
- Dates: Mon. 16th Feb – Fri. 20th Feb, 2026
- Period: 1 week
First semester examinations
All first semester exams take place within these dates:
- Dates: Mon. 23rd Feb – Sat. 14th Mar, 2026
- Period: 3 weeks
Submission of results to Senate Business Committee
After exams, results go to the Senate Business Committee:

Senate consideration of results
The Senate then considers and reviews the results:

Semester break and add and drop window
Students have a short break and can also make add and drop changes:

Second semester academic calendar
The second semester continues the 2025/2026 session with more lectures, tests, and exams, followed by long vacation.

Teaching for the second semester starts at the end of March:

- Period: 8 weeks
Mid-semester break
Students get a short rest before the final stretch of the semester:

Lectures resume again for the last weeks of teaching and tests:
