How to Buy NECO Token/Scratch Card to Check Results
NECO says no more scratch cards, only tokens for checking results online. This note explains what a NECO token is, how to buy one, and how to use it. Read it well so you don’t get stuck halfway.
So, NECO changed the game a little. Instead of scratching off a card like folks used to, you now need a token. Think of it as a tiny digital key, nothing fancy, just a code. Without it, the result page won’t open. With it, you get your SSCE, BECE, or NCEE scores on the screen in a flash.
Parents want to see it? No problem, hand them the token. Schools too. Even your nosy uncle if you must. Just remember, one token is tied to one result, and it doesn’t last forever.
Step One: Sign Up
- Go to the signup page.
- Fill in your name, email, the usual.
- NECO will send you an email, sometimes it hides in spam, don’t ask why.
- Open it, hit verify, and you’re done with step one.
If you skip this, nothing else works, so best not forget.
Step Two: Buy the Token
- Head over to the login page.
- Enter the details you just set up.
- Click “Purchase Token”.
- Decide how many you want, ₦1100 each.
- Press “Pay now”, and it takes you to REMITA. There you can pay by card or bank, whichever feels safer.
Little note: you can’t share one token across two people. Doesn’t work like that.
Step Three: Check Your Result
This part is quick.
- Visit the results portal.
- Pick your exam year.
- Choose your exam type, SSCE, BECE, or NCEE.
- Enter your token number and registration number.
- Tap “check result”.
There it is, your scores, good or bad.
One Last Thing
The token system is NECO’s way of cutting the old stress. No more chasing scratch cards at kiosks, no middleman telling you to come back tomorrow. Just you, your phone or laptop, and a code. Of course, the internet can play tricks sometimes, so a bit of patience helps.
