UBTH Post Basic Nursing Admission Forms 2025/2026

The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) has started receiving applications for its Post-Basic Nursing programmes for the 2025/2026 session. If you’re a registered nurse with clinical experience and looking to advance your career, this could be your next step.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered, you must:

• Hold five O’Level credits, in not more than two sittings, from WAEC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB
  • Required subjects: English, Maths, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry
• Be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria
• Have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in a relevant field

UBTH offers the following Post-Basic specialities:

• Critical Care Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
• Ophthalmic Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
• Perioperative Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
• Paediatric Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
• Accident and Emergency Nursing and Management – ₦15,000
• Gerontology Nursing – ₦20,000

How to Apply

1. Visit the UBTH College of Nursing portal
2. Fill the application form online
3. Pay the non-refundable application fee via Remita, selecting UBTH TSA as the beneficiary
4. Upload the completed form and required documents

Deadline and Exam Details

• Application closes: Friday, 29 August 2025
• Exam date, time and venue will be shared with applicants who pass the initial screening
