The University of Benin, UNIBEN, has pulled the curtain back on its admission list for the 2025/2026 academic year. For many students who wrote the post-UTME and have been pacing with worry, this is the news they have been waiting for. It is the green light to see who got a spot and who is still on the waiting bench.
How to check UNIBEN Admission List
The process is digital, no notice boards or word of mouth. You need to go through the official JAMB CAPS portal. The steps are straightforward if you follow them closely:
- Go to the JAMB EFacility portal.
- Log in with your JAMB username and password.
- Scroll down and pick Check Admission Status.
- Tap on Access my CAPS.
- Select Admission Status to see if you have been offered admission into UNIBEN.
For those already offered admission, you must take the next step. Send ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number tied to your JAMB profile. If your status still says Admission Still in Progress or Not Admitted, do not panic, it may update soon.
Once you accept, print out your JAMB admission letter. Keep it safe, you will need it later.
A small tip for phone users
Students checking with a mobile phone might notice a snag. Some phones only show a welcome page on CAPS, without the admission status option. The quick fix is to switch to desktop mode. If you are using Chrome, just go to the settings and tick Request Desktop Site. The full page should load after that.
