UNIMED Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026 Session

General entry requirements for UNIMED postgraduate admission
Before diving into the details, here are the basic rules every applicant must keep in mind:
- Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics, along with three other subjects, in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or equivalent exams.
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Graduates of UNIMED or other recognised universities in relevant fields.
- Holders of HND with at least Lower Credit from recognised institutions.
Masters Degree (M.Sc., M.A., MBA)
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Honours in relevant areas.
- Candidates with Third Class or HND (plus a PGD with good grades) may also apply, provided they meet the O’Level requirements.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
- A Master’s degree holder from a recognised university, with a minimum weighted average of 60%.
How to apply for UNIMED Postgraduate Admission
The process is fairly clear, though it needs careful attention to avoid mistakes:
- Go to the UNIMED website.
- Click Admission, then select Postgraduate.
- Tap the Apply Here button.
- Fill in the required details and choose your programme.
- Continue to payment.
Payment details
- Application fee: ₦20,000.
- Pay online using MasterCard or Visa card only.
- After payment, you will be redirected to the full form.
- Print your receipt, then use the provided REG No. and TRANSACTION ID to log back in.
Completing the application
Applicants must upload and submit the following:
- Degree certificates or diplomas.
- Academic transcripts (to be sent directly by the institutions attended).
- Three reference letters.
- NYSC certificate (for Nigerian citizens).
- A 500-word statement of intent in the chosen research area.
Once submitted, print out the application slip for record keeping.
Deadline for UNIMED postgraduate form
All forms and supporting documents must be submitted on or before 30th September 2025. Any transcript not received before the closing date will mean the application is not considered.
