Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, invites qualified candidates who chose the institution as their first choice—or are willing to change—to apply before the deadline of Monday, 4th August 2025.

IMSU Post UTME and DE Form

Imo State University (IMSU) has officially opened its application portal for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. Whether you sat for the 2025 UTME or have advanced qualifications for Direct Entry, this is your opportunity to gain admission into one of Nigeria’s leading state universities.

Who Can Apply for the IMSU Post UTME and DE Form?

Post UTME Applicants

To be eligible, you must:

• Have selected IMSU as your first choice in the 2025 JAMB UTME
• Scored at least 150 in your UTME

Didn’t choose IMSU initially?

You can still apply. Log in to the JAMB portal and change your institution to IMSU before the deadline.

Direct Entry (DE) Applicants

You must have:

• Chosen IMSU as your first choice in JAMB Direct Entry
• Uploaded your credentials (OND, HND, A-level, or First Degree) on the JAMB portal
• Achieved relevant academic qualifications in your chosen discipline

Important: Candidates who fail to upload their A-level results or other credentials on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

How to Apply for IMSU Post UTME and DE Form

Follow these steps carefully to complete your registration:

1. Visit the IMSU Application Portal and click the “2025/2026 Post-UTME/Direct Entry Application” link.
2. Enter your JAMB Registration Number to verify your eligibility.
3. Use your JAMB Reg Number as your invoice number to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.
4. You can pay online or at any bank. However, IMSU recommends IMSU Microfinance Bank for ease.
5. After 24 hours, revisit the portal to fill out the application form using your payment details.
6. Once done, print your Acknowledgement Slip. You’ll need this to gain entry into the screening venue.

Important Dates and Reminders

• Application Deadline: Monday, 4th August 2025
• Screening Exam Date: To Be Announced (Candidates are advised to monitor the IMSU Portal and their email regularly)

Key Reminders for All Candidates

• You must be at least 16 years old by October 2025 to qualify for admission.
• Ensure that your name on all documents matches (JAMB result, O’Level results, Acknowledgement Slip).
• Upload your O’Level results to JAMB CAPS if you haven’t already done so.
• Awaiting Result candidates are welcome, but must upload their results once released.
• Use a valid personal email and phone number throughout the application process.
• IMSU does not permit the use of smart devices such as phones or watches during the screening.
