Latest Update:

This extension allows those who haven’t completed their registration to do so.

UNIABUJA opens 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry registration

If you’ve picked the University of Abuja as your first choice in UTME, or you’re coming in through Direct Entry, the clock is already ticking. From Thursday 14 August 2025 until Friday 5 September 2025, the school wants you to log on and get your name in for the Post-UTME screening. Miss the date, and well, there’s no back door.

It’s not for everyone though, so best to check the rules before rushing.

Who can actually apply

The school’s line-up of conditions is pretty direct.

  • UTME applicants need at least 180 in their UTME score and must hit the programme cut-off for their chosen course.
  • You need 5 credits, including Maths and English, in O’Level, all from not more than two sittings.
  • O’Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB portal.
  • Direct Entry applicants can present NCE, IJMB, ND, First Degree, or HND. If you have JUPEB or NABTEB A-Level, this is not for you.
  • All A-Level results for Direct Entry must be uploaded on the JAMB Portal and confirmed by the issuing school.
  • Age limit? You must be 16 years or older by 30 September 2025.
  • UTME subject combinations must match your course needs.
  • If your result is still β€œawaiting”, just hold on. This screening isn’t open for you.

How the online process goes

The steps are quite straightforward, though you need to pay attention.

  1. Go to the UNIABUJA portal and click click here to apply.
  2. Hit the undergraduate link on the left.
  3. Enter your JAMB registration number and click get details.
  4. Fill the basic info page with a working phone number and email, then tap next.
  5. Pay the N2000 screening fee.
  6. On the review page, click Generate RRR, then submit to move to the Remita page.
  7. Select your card, fill details, and enter the OTP sent to your phone.
  8. After payment, log back into the portal with your JAMB number as username and your surname as password.
  9. Complete your registration, print your form and receipt.

One last thing

If you’re thinking of switching courses, that must be done on the JAMB portal first. The school won’t recognise the change if it’s not on their system.

And as we’d say, no dulling β€” the window closes fast.
