UNIZIK Post-UTME & Direct Entry 2025: What You Must Know

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has kicked off its 2025 admission screening for both UTME and Direct Entry candidates. If you picked UNIZIK or now plan to, there’s a window—but it’s tight. Registration began Monday, 28 July, and ends Saturday, 16 August 2025. Miss that, and that’s it.

Now, if you’re wondering, “Do I even qualify?”—let’s sort that first.

Who Can Apply?

For UTME candidates:

You must:

  • Choose UNIZIK or one of its affiliate schools as first choice
  • Score the minimum mark set for your course
  • Or, if you didn’t originally choose UNIZIK but meet the cut-off, you can apply after visiting a JAMB CBT centre to change your school

If your UTME subject combo doesn’t fit your original course, you’ll have to change to a course you’re eligible for before you register.

For Direct Entry:

In addition to the UTME steps, DE candidates must:

  • Hold an OND, HND, A’Level or First Degree
  • Upload all relevant documents on the portal
  • Send their transcripts to the Registrar
  • Submit hard copies to the Admissions Office on or before 16 August

If your transcript doesn’t arrive on time, you’ll be left out.

How to Register

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Go to the UNIZIK application portal
  2. Enter your JAMB reg number, LGA, and UTME subjects
  3. Fill in your email, phone number, date of birth, and password
  4. Confirm your email with the code sent
  5. Log in with your details
  6. Upload your O’Level results
  7. Pay ₦2,000 online or at the bank
  8. Submit your form
  9. Check your email for confirmation

You can still edit your O’Level results until the deadline, but after that, the form locks.

Don’t Forget

No physical exam yet. Just follow the steps and wait for the next update.

A Few Warnings

  • Don’t pay anyone claiming they can “help” with admission
  • Only use the official UNIZIK portal
  • Payments made with wrong JAMB details won’t be refunded
  • Anyone caught giving or taking bribes will be reported

That’s the whole thing. Short window, clear rules, no corner-cutting. If UNIZIK is where you’re heading, now’s the time to move.
