Federal University Gusau Academic Calendar for 2023/2024

The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) has released the academic calendar for the 2023/2024 session.

This calendar provides a detailed schedule for undergraduate students in both UG I and UG II categories.

First Semester

  • Monday, 25th November 2024 – Saturday, 7th December 2024: Registration for fresh students (2 weeks).
  • Monday, 9th December 2024 – Saturday, 15th February 2025: Lectures (10 weeks).
  • Monday, 10th February 2025 – Friday, 14th February 2025: Submission and release of continuous assessment results (1 week).
  • Monday, 17th February 2025 – Saturday, 1st March 2025: Examinations (2 weeks).
  • Monday, 3rd March 2025 – Sunday, 9th March 2025: First semester break and compilation of results by departments and faculties (1 week).
  • Thursday, 20th March 2025: Approval of results by the Senate.
  • Monday, 26th January 2025 – Monday, 3rd February 2025: Add/drop period (1 week).

Second Semester

  • Monday, 10th March 2025 – Saturday, 17th May 2025: Lectures (10 weeks).
  • Monday, 12th May 2025 – Friday, 16th May 2025: Submission and release of continuous assessment results (1 week).
  • Monday, 19th May 2025 – Saturday, 31st May 2025: Examinations (2 weeks).
  • Monday, 2nd June 2025 – Sunday, 22nd June 2025: End of session break and compilation of results by departments and marking (3 weeks).
  • Monday, 16th June 2025 – Friday, 20th June 2025: Consideration of results by faculty boards (1 week).
  • Thursday, 26th June 2025: Approval of results by the Senate.
  • Monday, 14th April 2025 – Monday, 21st April 2025: Add/drop period (1 week).

Start of the 2024/2025 Session

The 2024/2025 academic session will commence on Monday, 23rd June 2025.

This schedule ensures proper planning for all students and staff throughout the academic year.
