WAEC has released the 2024 second series GCE results. Candidates can check their results online or via SMS using a simple process. Keep reading to find out how to access your results quickly.

WAEC GCE 2024 Second Series Results Released

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the 2024 second series West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, known as WAEC GCE.

Candidates who sat for the exam can now check their results online or through SMS.

Check WAEC GCE Results Online

Follow these steps to check your results:

  • Visit the WAEC result checking portal: Go to the WAEC Direct website.
  • Enter your examination number: This is a 10-digit number made up of a 7-digit centre number and a 3-digit candidate number.
  • Select the examination year: Choose “2024” as the year.
  • Pick the examination type: Select “PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT.”
  • Provide your scratch card details: Enter the Card Serial Number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) found on the scratch card.
  • Submit your details: Click the Submit button to view your results.

Check WAEC GCE Results via SMS

Candidates can also check results using SMS.

  • Send an SMS in this format:
    WAEC*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear
    to 32327 (available for MTN, Celtel, and Glo users).
  • Example:
    WAEC*4250101001*123456789012*2024

Important Notes for SMS Checking

  • Do not include spaces in the SMS format.
  • The service costs N30 per SMS.
  • Wait for a reply with your results.

Important Details About Result Checking

  • The PIN and Serial Number needed for online checking are on the Smart Identity Card used during the exam.
  • Each result checker PIN can be used up to five times.
