Eligibility Criteria for NOCEN Post UTME

To apply for the NOCEN Post UTME screening, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates must have selected NOCEN as their first choice institution and attained the required cutoff marks.
  • Those who did not initially choose NOCEN but have achieved the eligible cutoff marks can also apply, provided they change their first choice of institution to NOCEN through the JAMB portal.

Programme-Specific Cutoff Marks

NOCEN has set different cutoff marks depending on the programme:

  • Degree Programmes: Candidates must have a cutoff mark of 160 and above. They should select NOCEN (in affiliation with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka) during their change of institution.
  • NCE Programmes: Candidates with a cutoff mark between 100 and 159 should select only NOCEN in their change of institution.

How to Apply for Nwafor Orizu College of Education Post UTME

To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Application Portal: Go to the NOCEN portal.
  2. Choose the Appropriate Application:
    • For Degree candidates, click on ‘Apply Now’ under Bachelors of Education.
    • For NCE candidates, click on ‘Apply Now’ under Nigeria Certificate in Education.
  3. Fill in the Registration Details: Enter your UTME registration number, a valid email address, phone number, and other required information, then submit.
  4. Confirm Your Email: After submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Open your email and confirm using the link provided.
  5. Generate and Pay the Remita RRR: After confirming your email, log in to the portal where a Remita payment (RRR) will be generated. Print the RRR page and proceed to any bank nationwide to make a payment of N2,000.
  6. Verify Payment: Return to the portal, log in with your email, and click on ‘Verify payment’ to confirm your payment.
  7. Complete the Application: Once payment is verified, continue with the registration. Fill out the application form carefully. You can save your progress and return to complete it later.
  8. Submit the Application: After completing the registration, click on the ‘Submit’ button. Print out your Application Form Slip for future reference.

Requirements for the Post UTME Screening Exercise

  • Always monitor your personal phone number, email, and NOCEN profile for updates on the screening exercise and your admission status.
  • Only candidates who registered online will be considered for the screening exercise.
  • You must upload your O’level results on the JAMB portal to be considered for admission.
  • Direct Entry candidates must upload both their O’level results and their NCE or equivalent certificates.
