The Institute for Legislative Studies at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) invites applications for admission into its postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
These programmes provide advanced education in legislative drafting, constitutional development, and inter-parliamentary studies.
Qualified candidates can apply for doctorate, master’s, or postgraduate diploma programmes.

Admission Requirements for UNIABUJA Institute for Legislative Studies
Candidates must meet the following criteria based on the programme level:
- Ordinary Level Requirement: Five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in no more than two sittings.
- Postgraduate Diploma: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least a third class or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Master’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least a second class lower division or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Doctorate Degree: A master’s degree in disciplines such as Legislative Studies, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, or related fields from recognised institutions.
- National Youth Service Corps Certificate: A discharge or exemption certificate is mandatory.
