The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the results for the supplementary Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held between June 21 and June 22.
This information was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja by the board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin.
JAMB conducted the supplementary exam for 28,835 candidates who couldn't undergo biometric verification during the main 2024 UTME.
Additionally, the exam included candidates suspected of involvement in malpractices during the main UTME but were given a second opportunity to sit the examination.
“The exercise, which was highly successful nationwide, featured enhanced security measures implemented by the Board to prevent any examination infractions.
“As a result, several individuals attempting to impersonate legitimate candidates were caught and handed over to law enforcement agencies for further investigation and prosecution,” the board stated.
JAMB emphasized its commitment to ensuring that no candidate benefits from any infractions by utilizing advanced technology before, during, and after its examinations.
The board urged candidates to avoid any irregularities during their exams.
JAMB also cautioned candidates against seeking score upgrades from fraudsters or altering their result sheets to produce fake results with higher scores.
Candidates can check their supplementary UTME results by sending UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number they used to generate their profile codes during registration.
