BUK Urges Students to Resume Fully for Second Semester

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has officially reopened for the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session. Academic work is now active across all Faculties, with lectures, Continuous Assessments, and related academic exercises underway. Students are encouraged to return to campus promptly to keep up with the current pace of activities and avoid missing essential coursework.
Academic Activities in Full Swing at BUK
According to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics), Professor Ahmad Muhammad Tsauni, who led a monitoring visit to several Faculties, student attendance at the start of the semester remains low. He expressed concern that many students have not yet resumed and called on parents and guardians to remind their wards to return to school without delay.
The University continues to maintain a strong commitment to academic quality, with Continuous Assessments already in progress and lecturers engaging students in both classroom and practical sessions. Faculty members have also been reminded to ensure smooth lesson delivery across all departments.
Call for Full Student Participation
BUK students are advised to attend lectures regularly and actively participate in all academic tasks. This includes timely submission of assignments and participation in group discussions and projects. The University administration emphasises that consistent class attendance is key to good performance and overall success.
The management of BUK remains committed to providing a supportive environment where learning can thrive. Students are encouraged to make the most of available learning resources, including the University library, online platforms, and consultation with lecturers during office hours.
BUK’s Ongoing Dedication to Academic Standards
Through the leadership of its academic and administrative teams, BUK continues to strengthen its academic standing and maintain discipline within the campus community. The University’s dedication to academic excellence reflects its long-standing reputation as one of Nigeria’s most respected higher education centres.
In summary, BUK calls on all students to return to campus, resume full academic engagement, and contribute to the institution’s ongoing efforts to uphold high learning standards.
