The School of Public Health and Disease Control Technology, Kano, has invited qualified candidates to apply for admission into its diploma programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The school offers EHCN professional based courses, a part-time infection prevention and control course, and NBTE based National Diploma programmes.

EHCN Professional Based Programmes

The EHCN professional based programmes are:

• Diploma in Public Health Superintendent
• Diploma in Family Healthcare Technician

Both programmes run for 2 years, covering 4 semesters.

Infection Prevention and Control Part-Time Programme

The school also offers:

• Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control, part-time

This school-based programme runs for 2 years, covering 4 semesters.

National Diploma Programmes

The NBTE based National Diploma programmes are:

• National Diploma in Public Health Technology
• National Diploma in Epidemiology and Disease Control Technology
• National Diploma in Family Healthcare Technology

Each National Diploma programme runs for 2 years, covering 4 semesters.

Admission Requirements

Candidates should check the requirements for their chosen programme before buying the form; each route has its own subject demands.

EHCN Professional Based Programme Requirements

Applicants need a minimum of 4 to 5 O’Level credits from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

The credits must include:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Biology or Health Science

Other relevant science subjects give applicants an advantage.

Infection Prevention and Control Part-Time Requirements

Applicants for the part-time Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control need a minimum of 4 to 5 O’Level credits from WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.

The required subjects include:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Biology or Health Science

A background in health sciences gives an added advantage.

National Diploma Requirements

Applicants for the NBTE based National Diploma programmes need five O’Level credits.

The credits must include:

• English Language
• Mathematics
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

Candidates must gain admission through JAMB for regular admission.

Candidates admitted without JAMB must complete JAMB regularisation.
