Nigerian Law School Bar Final Resit 2026: Dates, Fees and Registration Steps

The Nigerian Law School has released details for candidates referred in one paper, also called conditional pass, at the December 2025 Bar Final Examination.

Such candidates may resit the affected paper during the 2026 Bar Final Resit Examination. The examination will hold from Saturday, 16 May to Friday, 22 May 2026, at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters, Bwari, Abuja.

Nigerian Law School Bar Final Resit Registration Date

Application opens on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.

Registration closes on Thursday, 30 April 2026.

Completed application documents must reach the required office on or before Monday, 4 May 2026. That final document date matters; payment alone does not complete the process.

Who Can Apply for the Bar Final Resit

The resit is for candidates who were referred in one paper at the December 2025 Bar Final Examination.

The notice refers to this status as conditional pass.

Candidates under this group can register for the 2026 Bar Final Resit Examination scheduled for May 2026.

Nigerian Law School Bar Final Resit Fee

Candidates are to pay a total of N100,000.

The fee breakdown is:

  • Application Fee: N30,000
  • Examination Fee: N70,000
  • Total: N100,000

The application fee and examination fee should be paid separately.

Payment Details for the Resit Examination

Payment should be made to the account of the Council of Legal Education through the CBN/Remita payment gateway.

Candidates may pay through electronic transfer or at any commercial bank.

Use the following details:

  • Name of MDA: Council of Legal Education
  • Name of Service/Purpose: Resit Examination
  • Payer’s Full Name: Candidate’s full name

Candidates should use the correct name and purpose during payment; wrong details can cause delay, plain and simple.

What to Do After Payment

After payment, each candidate should send a clear scanned copy of the Remita Receipt, also called RRR, to the official email address.

The email must include:

  • Surname
  • Other names
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Send the details to resit2026@lawschool.gov.ng.

Login details for registration will be sent to the email address provided on the Remita receipt.

Receipt Verification and Final Submission

Candidates must take the payment receipt to the Accounts Department for verification.

After verification, they must submit the receipt to the Office of the Secretary to the Council/Head of Administration, SDA.

This step forms part of the full registration process for the Nigerian Law School Bar Final Resit.

Documents Required for Submission

Candidates must submit the following documents:

  • Two copies of the December 2025 Bar Final result printout
  • Four passport photographs
  • Two photocopies of Law School ID card
  • Two copies of payment receipts

The documents must be complete and submitted by Monday, 4 May 2026.

The 2026 Bar Final Resit Examination will hold at:

Nigerian Law School, Headquarters, Bwari, Abuja.

Notes for Candidates
