NOUN 2026_1 online facilitation guide: dates, LMS login, and student steps

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has released its official guide for the 2026_1 online facilitation exercise. Online facilitation is a core part of the NOUN learning structure; it supports students through virtual group interactions and assessments.

NOUN uses a blended approach for this exercise, mixing synchronous (real-time) sessions with asynchronous (self-paced) learning through the university Learning Management System (LMS); students will meet and also work solo.

What “online facilitation” means in NOUN

Online facilitation is designed to guide and support students as they engage with course activities in a virtual setting. It covers group interaction and assessments, hosted through the LMS; the system carries the work.

Participation is mandatory for all students

NOUN states that participation in online facilitation is mandatory for all students. Students are expected to take part and follow the guidelines provided for access and conduct; this is not optional.

How to access the NOUN LMS

Students will use the NOUN LMS to take part in the exercise: NOUN eLearn (LMS) login portal.

Returning students: what to do

Returning students are to log in to the LMS using their existing credentials to access their courses; use the same login details already in use.

New students: what to do

New students are to complete course and exam registration first. After registration, they are to check their official NOUN email for login instructions and password setup details; the spam folder should also be checked.

LMS navigation and academic integrity requirements

LMS navigation help

A video tutorial is provided to help students move around the portal: LMS navigation guide video.

Academic integrity step

After logging in, students are to read the Academic Integrity page before they begin using course resources and activities; do that early, then proceed.

2026_1 online facilitation dates

The 2026_1 online facilitation session is scheduled to run from 23 February 2026 to 18 April 2026; keep the timeline in view.
