The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will commence the sale of Direct Entry (DE) forms for candidates seeking admission into higher institutions via direct entry starting Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin highlighted that this registration process is essential for individuals with degrees, diplomas, or A-level certifications who intend to further their education at their chosen universities.
"The commencement of DE form sales follows the successful completion of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) application period, which officially closed on Saturday, March 8, 2025. During this window, JAMB recorded 2,030,627 registrations for the 2025 UTME, 200,115 candidates for the Mock-UTME, and 630 applicants for the trial mock," the statement outlined.
"JAMB has stressed the necessity of meeting all entry requirements, cautioning that severe penalties will be imposed on candidates who submit false information. A dedicated committee will thoroughly verify all Advanced A-Level qualifications, and any discovered fraudulent credentials will result in legal action against the applicant."
"Furthermore, institutions have been advised to conduct direct verification of certificates before granting admission. Candidates should note that registration can only be carried out at JAMB’s Professional Registration Centres (PRC)," the statement concluded.
