The Management of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic (IMAP) in Lafia, Nasarawa State, announced that the institution will roll out its first‑ever Summer Programme (Third Semester) for the 2025/2026 session.

The initiative received endorsement from the Academic Board during its 16th regular meeting and aims to give students a chance to retake failed subjects within the same academic year, clear any carry‑over backlogs and keep their progress on track toward graduation.

PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY AND COORDINATION

• Eligibility: Open to students who have unresolved failed courses from either the First or Second Semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic year.
• Restriction: The summer offering is limited solely to failed subjects; it cannot be used to repeat courses that have already been passed.
• Coordination: IMAP Consult Limited will manage the programme in line with the Academic Board’s approved guidelines.
• Duration: The schedule spans six weeks – four weeks dedicated to lectures, revision and academic activities, followed by a two‑week examination period.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND FEES

Students must settle all charges through the Polytechnic’s authorized payment channels.

• 50 % of the regular school fees applicable to the 2025/2026 session.
• ₦5,000 for each failed course or paper that a student registers for the Summer Programme.

• Registration and Course Finalisation: Monday 19 October 2026 to Friday 23 October 2026
• Lectures, Revision and Academic Engagement: Monday 26 October 2026 to Friday 13 November 2026
• Examination Period: Monday 16 November 2026 to Friday 27 November 2026
• Marking, Collation and Results Processing: Monday 30 November 2026 to Friday 4 December 2026
• Official Release of Summer Results: Friday 11 December 2026

EXAMINATION AND GRADING

The Polytechnic confirmed that all examinations conducted under the Summer Programme will adhere strictly to its existing academic regulations. Grades earned during this period will supplant the previous failing grades in the students’ official transcripts.

• Verify the list of outstanding failed courses before completing registration.
• Enrol only for courses that meet the eligibility criteria.
• Ensure that all payments are processed via the Polytechnic’s verified channels.
• Attend every scheduled lecture, revision session and examination.
