The university has promoted five senior academics to the rank of Associate Professor.

  • Dr. Olaniyi Edward Famobuwa – Chemistry
  • Dr. Niyi Basil Omodara – Chemistry
  • Dr. Kehinde Emmanuel Adenegan – Mathematics
  • Dr. Akinwumi Sharimakin – Economics
  • Dr. Ilufoye Fawole Ojo – Yoruba

The announcement was issued by the institution after the Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&PC) forwarded its recommendation to the Governing Council.

According to the release, the newly created Associate Professor positions become effective on 1 October 2025.

The university extends its congratulations to the newly appointed Associate Professors.
