The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given the green light for the creation of a Faculty of Law at Federal University Dutse and has also sanctioned full‑time delivery for thirty additional academic programmes, set to begin in the 2026/2027 session.

The decision was communicated through an official letter dated 11 September 2026, reference NUC/AP/F33/VOL.II/15, bearing the signature of NUC Director of Academic Planning Abubakar M. Girei and addressed to the university’s Vice‑Chancellor, Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel.
