JAMB Warns Students Against Fake Admission Letters

In a recent statement, the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Isiaq Oloyede, emphasized the importance of ensuring that prospective students receive genuine provisional admission letters from the board. This is to safeguard their educational aspirations and prevent any future complications.
Additionally, the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Abiodun Alamutu, and the Vice Chancellor of Abia State University (ABSU), Prof. Onyemachi Ogbulu, have urged students, especially those studying at Harvarde College in Abeokuta, to steer clear of cultism and approach their studies with utmost dedication. Their goal is for students to be a source of pride for their parents, who have invested so much in their education.
During the 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony held in Obada-Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, these concerns were shared by Oloyede, Alamutu, and Ogbulu.
It's crucial for admission seekers to follow the proper procedures to avoid any future complications.
During the event, the Vice Chancellor of ABSU, Ogbulu, made it clear that the institution is serious about cracking down on cultism. Students who go against the zero tolerance policy will face expulsion and other severe penalties.
Ogbulu urged new students to avoid distractions and prioritize their academics to avoid getting kicked out. He declared that ABSU will not waste time in showing students the exit if they don't conform to the university's standards.
The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Alamutu, expressed concern about the rise of cult activities in the state. He encouraged students to focus on their studies and resist the temptation to join such groups.
The President and founder of the institution, Dr. Adebayo Ouwatosin, emphasized the importance of diligence and perseverance for achieving academic success. He urged the new students to stay focused on their goals.
