University Of Calabar Extends Post-UTME Registration Deadline: Important Update For 2024/2025 Admissions

Please Note: Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t make use of any outside agent and will not make use of any in the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

In response to the current challenges faced by candidates across the country, including the high cost of transportation due to fuel scarcity, accommodation issues, logistical difficulties, and security concerns, the University of Calabar has made a significant decision regarding the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise.

Cancellation of Post-UTME Screening Exercise

The University’s management has announced the cancellation of the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise. This decision is aimed at easing the burden on prospective students and their families during these challenging times.

Instead of the traditional screening process, the University of Calabar will now evaluate all candidates based on their O’level grades. A point tally system will be used to assess and rank candidates for admission. This approach ensures that the admissions process remains fair and transparent, even without the in-person screening.

Important Instructions for Registered Candidates

If you selected the University of Calabar as your first-choice institution and have already registered online for the 2024 Post-UTME screening exercise, you are required to take an important step: visit the nearest JAMB-CBT centre to upload your O’level results. This upload is crucial as it will be the basis for your admission consideration under the new system.

One-Week Extension for Post-UTME Registration

In light of the changes, the University has graciously extended the deadline for Post-UTME registration by one week. Candidates who have not yet registered now have an additional opportunity to do so. The final deadline for registration is Saturday, August 31, 2024.

This extension is the last opportunity for prospective students to complete their registration. After August 31, the registration portal will close permanently, and no further extensions will be granted.

Final Reminder

The University of Calabar is committed to ensuring a smooth and equitable admission process for all candidates. If you are yet to register, make sure to take advantage of this final extension. Register and upload your O’level results at the nearest JAMB-CBT centre before the deadline to avoid missing out on your chance for admission.

Stay informed and keep track of any further updates from the University by regularly visiting the official website or contacting the admissions office.

Good luck to all candidates!
