Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

The Plateau State University (PLASU) has released the Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for PLASU Post UTME Screening

To be eligible for the screening exercise, you must meet the following conditions:

  • You must have selected Plateau State University, Bokkos, as your first choice in the 2024 JAMB UTME and attained a minimum score of 160.
  • For those applying to the Faculties of Health Sciences, Law, or Social Sciences, specific cut-off marks apply:
    • Faculty of Health Sciences:
      • Department of Nursing Sciences: Minimum score of 215.
      • Department of Medical Laboratory Science: Minimum score of 200.
      • Department of Public Health: Minimum score of 180.
    • Faculty of Law:
      • Department of Law: Minimum score of 200.
    • Faculty of Social Sciences:
      • Department of Psychology: Minimum score of 180.
  • Direct Entry applicants must have chosen PLASU as their first choice in the 2024 JAMB DE application and hold one of the following qualifications:
    • First Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or National Diploma (ND) with at least Lower Credit.
    • IJMB/JUPEB with a minimum of 6 points.

Guidelines for Applying for PLASU Post UTME

The screening process will be conducted online. To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the University Portal: Go to the PLASU application portal.
  2. Select the Appropriate Application Form: Choose “UTME/DE APPLICATION” from the available options.
  3. JAMB Verification: Enter your JAMB Registration Number to verify your details.
  4. Email and Password: Provide a valid email address, set a secure password, and confirm it.
  5. Email Confirmation: Check your email for a confirmation link. Click the link to log in and continue with your application.

Payment and Further Steps

  1. Generate RRR Number: Click “Click to make payment” to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
  2. Payment Method: For card payments, select “Proceed To Payment”. If paying in cash, copy the RRR number and pay at any bank.
  3. Screening Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).
  4. Upload Documents: Upload a recent passport photograph (maximum file size of 150kb, acceptable formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG).
  5. Academic Records: Submit your best five O-Level subjects and grades as specified in the JAMB brochure for PLASU.

Direct Entry Screening Payment and Registration

The Direct Entry screening process follows the same steps as above, with the additional requirement of entering your academic qualifications.

Cautionary Notes

False Information and Prosecution: Candidates who submit false information and receive provisional admission will face deregistration and possible legal action.

Beware of Fraudsters: Candidates and the public should be vigilant against fraudsters claiming to offer university admissions. Always follow the procedures outlined by Plateau State University and JAMB to avoid issues during the post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercises.
