The UTME mock is a preliminary test conducted annually by JAMB for candidates preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). During the initial phase of UTME registration, candidates were given the option to indicate their willingness to participate in the mock exam. The 2025 UTME mock is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025.
It is important to note that the mock exam is entirely optional. The scores obtained do not contribute to the final UTME results, nor is it a prerequisite for taking the main examination.
The primary objective of the mock test is to help candidates evaluate their readiness and familiarize themselves with the computer-based testing environment. Introduced in 2017, the mock exam provides an opportunity for all candidates, particularly those with limited experience using computers, to gain practical exposure to the system.
Additionally, the mock exam serves as a trial run for JAMB to assess the functionality of all examination centers. This ensures that the necessary systems are in place and fully operational for the main exam. It also allows CBT centers to refine their processes and improve candidate management during the actual examination.
At this time, printing of the 2025 UTME mock exam slips has not yet commenced. The exam slip will provide details regarding the assigned venue and time for candidates who are eligible. Updates will be shared here once the printing process begins. If you have any inquiries, feel free to ask in the forum section, and someone will respond to your questions.
