The Federal University of Technology Minna Students' Union has addressed concerns surrounding the semester calendar and e-tests for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In a press release issued on Monday, May 26, 2026, the union disclosed that it had engaged the university management in discussions regarding a possible extension of the academic calendar. However, the university management has decided to continue operating based on the previously approved academic calendar.
The union also clarified that a leaked e-test timetable circulating online was not officially released for students. The document was originally intended for examiners and academic staff for internal review and adjustments.
Students were advised not to panic or rely on unofficial information circulating online. Tests are still expected to commence in June, in line with the already released academic calendar. The finalized and official test schedule would be communicated once approved and released by the university authorities.
FUTMSUG urged students to remain calm, focused, and academically prepared while making proper use of the short break and celebrating the Sallah festivities responsibly. The union reaffirmed its commitment to students' welfare and encouraged everyone to rely only on official information released by the union and school authorities.
