The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted approval to Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, to run 14 distinct Higher National Diploma (HND) academic programmes. This development follows a successful resource inspection and accreditation exercise conducted by the regulatory body.

The NBTE accreditation team had previously visited the institution on Monday, May 18, 2026, to assess the polytechnic's facilities, faculty, and readiness to deliver high-quality technical education.

Following the successful evaluation, the management of Lens Polytechnic expressed its appreciation to the NBTE for a thorough exercise and a prompt response, noting that the approval is a significant step forward in advancing tertiary education in Nigeria.

Management has announced admission into new programmes. The institution is inviting applications from qualified candidates for admission into the newly accredited courses, including specialized enrollment in cutting-edge fields like Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Crime Management, and Community Health.

The 14 newly approved and accredited courses span engineering, media, information technology, management, and health sciences, including HND Computer Engineering Technology, HND Electrical Electronics Engineering, HND Film and Multimedia Production, HND Journalism and Media Studies, and HND Strategic Communications and Media Studies. Other approved programmes include HND Artificial Intelligence, HND Software and Web Development, HND Cyber Security and Data Protection, HND Networking and Cloud Computing, HND Crime Management, HND Public Administration, HND Community Health, and HND Health Information Management.
