The Federal University of Technology, Akure, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into its Postgraduate Diploma, Masters, M.Phil., M.Phil./Ph.D., and Ph.D. Programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

For detailed information on available programmes, admission requirements, duration of programmes, method of application, and opening and closing dates for application, candidates are advised to visit the School of Postgraduate Studies Portal on the University’s website at http://www.futa.edu.ng.

It is crucial for applicants to note that any mix-up in username and password will attract extra charges. Additionally, errors in completion and submission of forms during the application process can lead to the loss of application processing for the academic session. For instance, incorrectly selecting MTech instead of PGD or PhD can have such consequences.

Important guidelines for applicants include the fact that an unsuccessful application cannot be transferred from one programme to another. Furthermore, statements of results that are four years old or more cannot be used for admission purposes; instead, candidates should obtain a certificate from the relevant examination body.

Applicants are no longer required to present ‘O’ Level results for postgraduate admissions. It is also important to remember that fees for application forms and acceptance are non-refundable.

The application forms will be available for completion starting from Monday, 22nd June, 2026.
