National Examinations Council (NECO) Releases 2026 BECE Results
The National Examinations Council has officially announced the release of the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination results. The examination was conducted from April 20 to April 30, 2026.
The results were approved and released after the 2026 BECE Award Committee Meeting, which was held at the Council's headquarters in Minna, Niger State. The meeting was chaired by Dr. (Mrs.) Folake Olatunji David, representing the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa.
The Award Committee has approved the schedule for the 2026 BECE Re-sit Examination, which will be held on July 22 and July 23, 2026. The re-sit examination will cover Mathematics and English Studies.
The re-sit examination is specifically for candidates with conditional deficiencies in Mathematics, English Studies, or both. This initiative aims to help affected candidates remedy these deficiencies and obtain the required certification for admission into Senior Secondary School One without repeating an academic year.
The statement was signed by Azeez Sani, Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, NECO.
