The Bayelsa Medical University has announced the commencement of its admission process for the 2026/2027 academic session. This process is set to begin on Monday, July 6th, 2026, and will conclude on August 29th, 2026.

Eligibility:

• Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME): Prospective candidates must have achieved a minimum score of 150 in the 2026 UTME. The specific cut-off marks for programs will be decided and communicated by the University Management.
• Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 16 years old to be eligible.
• O'Level Requirements: Applicants need to have at least five credits in SSCE or its equivalent, including English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

Application Process:

To apply, candidates should visit the university's website at www.bmu.edu.ng. The steps include selecting the desired program, registering, and activating the registration via a link sent to the candidate's email. After activation, candidates can log in, complete the registration, upload required documents, submit their application, and pay the registration fee of N2,500.

For candidates who have not made Bayelsa Medical University their primary choice on the JAMB CAPS platform, it is necessary to update their selection. All O-Level results must also be uploaded. This can be done by visiting any JAMB office or registered JAMB cybercafé.
