The University of Calabar has taken disciplinary action against 19 students, suspending them for a full academic session due to allegations of examination malpractice.
This decision was made following the recommendations of the Students' Disciplinary Committee, which were subsequently approved by the institution's Senate.
According to a statement released by the university, the students in question will be suspended for the entirety of the 2025/2026 academic session. They are expected to resume their studies in the 2026/2027 academic session.
The university has instructed all deans, heads of departments, and relevant officials to strictly enforce this suspension. This move reaffirms the institution's commitment to upholding academic integrity and discipline.
