Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) notice to prospective candidates

This notice serves to inform all prospective candidates who selected FUTA as their First Choice Institution that the online registration for the Post-UTME screening exercise will now be closed on Thursday, 13th August, 2026. The screening exercise is for admission into all courses/programmes for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

Eligible candidates

• Must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2026 UTME conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)
• Must be Direct Entry (DE) candidates who made FUTA their First Choice Institution

These eligible candidates who are yet to complete their screening registration are advised to do so on or before Thursday, 13th August, 2026, by visiting the University website (www.futa.edu.ng).

Candidates are advised to take advantage of the remaining period and complete their registration promptly. Any candidate who is not screened will not be considered for admission in the University.

Admission requirements

• Candidates must have reached the age of 16 years with effect from 30th September, 2026, to be considered for admission this year.
• Candidates must ensure that their O’ level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS on or before Thursday, 13th August, 2026. Failure to do this will render the affected candidates ineligible for admission.
