ELIGIBILITY FOR DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D) PROGRAMMES

Applicants aiming for Ph.D studies must satisfy the following conditions:

• Hold a bachelor's degree from Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other recognized institution, together with a Master’s degree (M.A., M.Sc., LL.M., M.Ed., etc.).
• Achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 5.00 scale, or the equivalent of a B grade, in the preceding postgraduate qualification.
• For natural‑science tracks, the same minimum GPA of 3.50 (or B) is required.
• Candidates falling short of the GPA thresholds in (b) and (c) may apply for an M.Phil/Ph.D pathway where such options exist.

ELIGIBILITY FOR MASTER OF ARTS / MASTER OF SCIENCE / LL.M / M.ALD / MLD / MPA / MBA / MEM

Prospective master’s students (M.A., M.Sc., M.A.M.Sc., M.Ed.) need to meet these criteria:

• Possess a bachelor's degree from Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other accredited university in the relevant field, with at least a 2.40 CGPA (or the equivalent standard).
• For programmes offered by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, a minimum CGPA of 3.00 is mandatory.
• Hold the requisite O’ Level credits.

ELIGIBILITY FOR POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA (PGD)

Candidates wishing to enroll in PGD programmes should:

• Have earned at least a Third Class degree from Prince Abubakar Audu University or any other recognized university.
• Possess a Higher National Diploma (HND) at a lower credit level in a related discipline.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY / REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

All postgraduate applicants must fulfill the O’ Level/first‑degree prerequisites of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, which include:

• Securing five O’ Level credit passes (the matriculation requirement) in the relevant subjects, obtained in no more than two sittings. English Language is compulsory for every discipline, while Mathematics is required for all science‑based programmes. Additional subjects may include Geography, Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Health Science, and Education.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

The application charge for Ph.D programmes is N35,000.00 (Thirty‑five thousand naira only), whereas the fee for all other postgraduate programmes is N25,000.00 (Twenty‑five thousand naira only).

Applicants can complete the online application via the university’s postgraduate portal at https://eportal.paau.edu.ng/. The following documents must be uploaded:

• NYSC discharge certificate
• Email addresses of referees

The sale of application forms will run from 20 August 2026 to 20 October 2026.
