The Hall Executive Council (HEC) has been alerted to the presence of electric cookers and hot plates being used by certain hostel residents.
Following the latest Students' Affairs Division order, all students are reminded that electric cookers and hot plates are expressly forbidden in the hostels. They are urged to refrain from operating or storing these devices in their rooms.
Students should also note that Chapter 9 of the Student Handbook, which outlines the Regulations Governing Hostel Accommodation, lists penalties for violations. In particular:
Consequently, students are strongly urged to treat this notice with utmost seriousness and to avoid any conduct that could place themselves or fellow residents at risk of disciplinary action or electrical danger.
Additionally, Hall Executives have been instructed to oversee adherence in their hostels. Any resident caught with the banned appliances will be reported to the relevant university officials for appropriate measures under the established regulations.
