The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) confirmed that it will honor the public holiday set by the Federal Government in recognition of the 2026 Maulud festivities.
According to a circular issued on August 21, 2026, the university indicated that Tuesday, August 25, 2026, is designated as a public holiday.
The notice also clarified that employees delivering essential services—such as security personnel, clinic staff, gardeners, cleaners, and borehole operators—are exempt from the holiday and must continue to report for duty.
FUHSA added that regular campus activities will recommence on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
Additionally, the Physical Screening Exercise originally planned for Tuesday, August 25, has been moved to Wednesday, August 26, 2026, aligning with the revised schedule.
The circular bears the signature of Ali Ahmed Adamu, Registrar of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare.
