Southern Delta University’s Students’ Union Government (SUG) has released details concerning the 2025/2026 bursary verification process for all students who submitted bursary applications.

Issued on September 19, 2026, the notice comes after the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSU) issued a bulletin on September 15, 2026, signalling the start of the verification exercise.

The SUG explains that normally candidates must attend their campuses in person for verification, but because the student body is on break, the union, together with university officials, will carry out the verification on students’ behalf.

During the exercise, officials will confirm and validate each applicant’s academic records—such as name, matriculation number, department, faculty and any other required particulars.

Students are urged to stay calm and wait for subsequent instructions from the SUG. Any further updates, requirements or notices from NADESSU, the university board or other authorities will be relayed via the SUG’s official communication channels.

The union also calls on every bursary applicant to closely monitor official announcements and adhere to any later guidance related to the verification process.
