The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has issued the draft academic calendar for the 2026/2027 session for undergraduate students.

The calendar, which appears in the University of Ilorin Bulletin dated Monday, 21 September 2026, indicates that the new academic year will officially begin on Monday, 5 October 2026, for both incoming and returning students.

Student registration is slated from Monday, 5 October to Friday, 16 October 2026, while a late‑registration window will be open from Monday, 19 October to Friday, 23 October 2026.

Lectures for the Harmattan Semester are set to start on Monday, 19 October 2026 and will run until Friday, 22 January 2027. A lecture‑free interval is planned from Monday, 25 January to Friday, 29 January 2027.

Harmattan Semester examinations will be held from Monday, 1 February 2027 through Friday, 26 February 2027.

The Rain Semester’s lecture period is expected to commence on Monday, 15 March 2027. A lecture‑free week, during which continuous assessment results will be uploaded, is scheduled for Monday, 21 June to Friday, 25 June 2027.

Exams for the Rain Semester are arranged to start on Monday, 28 June 2027 and conclude on Friday, 23 July 2027.

The calendar also outlines dates for matriculation, final‑year result considerations, and the end‑of‑session break.

The university also notes that every Wednesday between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. will be reserved for sports‑related activities, during which no lectures will be held.
