The Students' Union Government (SUG) of the Federal University of Applied Science Kachia formally notifies every student that the university administration has granted approval for a one‑week mid‑semester recess.

The Union states that the pause will commence on Monday, 19 October 2026.

Nonetheless, the SUG wishes to make clear that learners enrolled in the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as newly admitted first‑year (100‑level) students, are excluded from this break.

Those particular cohorts are therefore expected to maintain attendance and continue with the academic schedule set out by their respective faculties and departments.

For all remaining students, the SUG announces that regular academic activities will fully resume on Monday, 26 October 2026.

The Union encourages the entire student community to make prudent and productive use of the interval – to rest, rejuvenate, and adequately prepare for the remaining portion of the semester.

Students who intend to travel during the break are wished safe journeys to and from their destinations, and are urged to keep personal safety as a top priority throughout the period.

The Students' Union Government extends wishes for a peaceful, restful, and refreshing mid‑semester break to everyone.
