The Department of Engineering and Safety (IIS) is inviting applications for PhD position in Virtual Reality and Computer Vision at UiT Norway’s Arctic University. The PhD Candidate will work in close collaboration with the Automation team.
Position is available for pursuing Ph.D. program.
Position is awarded in the fields of Virtual Reality and Computer Vision
Remuneration for the position of PhD Candidate is in accordance with the State salary scale code 1017. A compulsory contribution of 2% to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund will be deducted.
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for these fellowships
- The successful applicant must fulfil the requirements for admission to the faculty’s PhD programme, cf. Regulation for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor (PhD) at UiT– The Arctic University of Norway. In addition, he/she be able to document proficiency in English equivalent to Norwegian Higher Education Entrance Qualification, refer to the website about PhD regulations at UiT.
- This position requires Master’s degree in Electronics, or Computer Science, or similar.
- The Master’s degree should be recognized as equivalent to a 2-year Norwegian Master’s degree.
Language skills:
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English
- The applicant must write a one-page project description for the PhD project.
Emphasis will be given to grades in master’s degree, the project description submitted by the candidate, relevant research experience, and personal suitability.
