Please Note: Nigerian tertiary institutions don’t make use of any outside agent and will not make use of any in the 2024/2025 admission exercise. Aspirants are thereby advised to stay clear from such in processing their applications. Applications should be processed directly, following each guideline and instructions issued by the institution

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced that its online registration for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening for undergraduate admissions will begin on Monday, July 28. The announcement was made in a statement by Mrs. Abosede Wickliffe, the Registrar One and Secretary to Council, which was shared on the university’s official website on Friday in Lagos.

The university confirmed that the registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), set to begin on Monday, will run until August 20.

According to the statement, candidates who selected UNILAG as their first choice in the 2025/2026 UTME and scored 200 or above are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME online screening. In addition, applicants must have earned five credit passes in relevant O'Level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in one sitting.

The university emphasized that only candidates who have uploaded their O'Level results by September 12 will be considered for admission. Furthermore, candidates who will not have reached the age of 16 by September 30 are ineligible to apply. Those who do not participate in the Post-UTME online aptitude test will not be considered for admission.

Candidates are advised to use their personal, active email addresses during registration, as all communications will be sent through this channel.

The statement also mentioned that former students of the university, whose admissions were revoked due to poor academic performance or absences, can reapply. However, such reapplications must be for a new program or course, different from their previous enrollment.

Additionally, the university clarified that students who had been expelled would not be eligible for re-admission. It also stated that it has a zero-tolerance policy for drug abuse, warning that any student who tests positive for drugs, either before or after registration, would have their admission withdrawn.

The statement further outlined that a mock examination for the Post-UTME online aptitude test will take place from Monday, August 25, to Wednesday, August 27. The official Post-UTME test will then be held from September 1 to September 5.
