Abia State University (ABSU) wishes to inform all candidates who applied for admission into its regular degree programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session that the online screening process has officially begun.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Candidates are required to upload their UTME scores, O’Level results, and other relevant degree results to the ABSU portal at http://www.portal.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng and the JAMB portal.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE:

• Candidates who selected Abia State University as their 1st or 2nd choice, as well as those who did not initially choose ABSU but wish to change to the university;

• Candidates who scored 150 or higher in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME);

• Candidates who meet the university's basic entry requirements, including at least five O’Level credit passes;

• All Direct Entry candidates.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE FOR THE SCREENING EXERCISE:

(a) Candidates must register for the screening exercise online by visiting http://www.abiastateuniversity.edu.ng and making an e-payment of ₦2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) at any of the following banks:

• ABSU Micro-Finance Bank, Uturu

• Signature Bank

• First Bank Plc

• Eco Bank Plc

• Zenith Bank Plc

• Fidelity Bank Plc

• Union Bank Plc

• UBA Plc

• Payment via bank debit cards

(b) Candidates who fail to register for the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission.
